City of Elgin issued the following announcement on Feb. 7
The City of Elgin has launched a new online permitting software called My Government Online. The software provides the ability to submit and pay for all building permits and inspections online. Applicants can track the progress of the plan review process, upload construction drawings and plans, view the required inspection sequence for a project, and request inspections online, all from the convenience of a computer or mobile device. In addition, the new software provides real-time inspection results via e-mail, automated telephone calls, and the online portal. Computers at the library are available to use the online system.
