CITY OF AUSTIN: $5,000 Reward Offered in Shell Station Robbery Investigation

City of Austin issued the following announcement on Oct. 27

The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is working an aggravated robbery that occurred on Wednesday, October 7, 2020.  The three suspects, pictured and described below, entered the Shell Station located at 31 N. IH-35 frontage and held the clerk at gunpoint. During the commission of the robbery, the clerk was shot.

 

Detectives have identified suspects #2 and #3, but are continuing to request assistance in identifying suspect #1. Shell is now offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspect #1. This is in addition to the Crime Stoppers reward of up to $1,000.

Suspect #1:

  • Black male
  • Armed with black semi-automatic handgun
  • Last seen wearing grey Nike Jordan hoodie, grey pants, black Jordan shoes with white trim, and black face mask
Suspect #2:

  • Black male
  • Last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants with white writing all over them, black socks with black slides and a red bandana over his face
Suspect #3:

  • Black male
  • Last seen wearing grey zip-up hoodie, black oversized shorts, grey socks with white Nike slides and a dark-colored bandana over his face
