Hays County Commissioners Court today proclaimed January 2023 as National Crime Stoppers Month. Members of the nonprofit were on hand during court to speak about its mission. Since its inception in 1981, Hays County Crime Stoppers received more than 6,100 tips, which led to more than 770 arrests, assisted in clearing over 900 cases, and recovering more than $13 million dollars in drugs and property. Anonymous Crime Stopper callers have been awarded more than $85,000 for tips leading to arrests.
