Starting Monday, TxDOT’s contractor will close Harvey Road’s inside lanes both ways from Texas Avenue to George Bush Drive.
The work begins a three-phase project to construct raised medians and rehabilitate Harvey to the State Highway 6 frontage road. The first two phases are expected to be complete by mid-December, and the final phase should be finished by April.
The inside left turn lane for southbound Texas at Harvey will be closed, along with the left turn from Dartmouth Street onto Harvey while the existing median is removed. Detours will be in place.
