The World Affairs Council of Austin is hosting an event to help businesses understand the rules and regulations on doing business in the European Union.
The EU is driving an aggressive digital agenda intended as a “third way” between China’s state controls and the USA’s “wild west.” What began with controls on personal data (GDPR) is expanding into other arenas of digital data. This seminar is designed to help businesses understand what their requirements are for collecting personal data of EU citizens and selling or buying digital goods or services to or from EU businesses.
This event is free to attend. Partners for this event include the Austin Chamber, McGinnis Lochridge, Bersay, the City of Austin, the DECA Chambers, Capital Factory, Global Austin, and Tech Ranch.
