Round Rock seeking volunteers for neighborhood cleanup

The City of Round Rock is seeking volunteers for its next directed neighborhood cleanup scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 22 in the neighborhoods of Egger Acres, Mesa Park and Mesa Ridge.

The event will include bulk trash pickup, brush pickup and fire safety surveys in the three neighborhoods. All residents in these neighborhoods are welcome to leave bulk items or brush at the curb for pickup in accordance with City guidelines starting Oct. 15 and no later than 7 a.m. on Oct. 22. Items left at the curb that do not meet these guidelines will not be picked up. Volunteers will help residents who are elderly and/or disabled with yard work and pulling items to the curb for cleanup. Fire safety surveys will be conducted to identify whether a resident is in need of smoke detectors or replacement batteries, or if they are in possession of an appliance that has been recalled.

If you would like a fire safety survey or are in need of assistance with yard work and you are a resident in Egger Acres, Mesa Park or Mesa Ridge, please fill out the form below. You can also sign up a neighbor to receive these services, which will be offered to those who are elderly, disabled, had recent surgery or an illness or has special circumstances.

The deadline for volunteers and requests for assistance is Friday, Oct. 14.
