San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter Pets of the Week

Dog of the Week: Chevy (50690865)

Chevy is a four-year-old Labrador Retriever/Australian Cattle Dog mix with a big personality! He is a very chill guy with low energy who loves meeting new people because they give him lots of head scratches. Chevy is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on leash. This sweet boy is 62 pounds and swears he's a lap dog. Chevy is currently in foster, and his foster parents say he is the perfect pup for any family. If you would like to meet this 10 out of 10 good boy, email foster@sanmarcostx.gov!

Dog of the Week: Simba (50693029)

Simba is the perfect buddy to have a photoshoot with by the river during golden hour - he can give a big smile or a serious face for the camera! He gets very excited to go on adventures, so he could benefit from basic manners and leash pulling training. Simba is a big boy at 80 pounds but insists he needs to be the little spoon while cuddling! He loves treats, and with those adorable wrinkles on his face, it's hard to say no.

Both pets are available for adoption at the San Marcos Regional Shelter. All ready-to-go pets, defined as cats and dogs that have already been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, are $22 until further notice. This special price includes spay/neuter, vet exam, vaccinations and a microchip. To meet our pets, please visit us in person at the shelter, open from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
