On September 20 and 21, beginning at 8 a.m., SMTXU inspection crews will be conducting a physical survey of the sanitary sewer system by completing a smoke test. Smoke testing of the sewer lines helps locate any breaks or defects in the sewer system. During the testing, you may see smoke exit from vent pipes, above homes or holes, and cracks in the ground. The smoke is non-toxic, leaves no residue, and creates no fire hazard. If you have any questions, please call 512-393-8010.
