City of Lago Vista issued the following announcement on Dec. 21
At the December 17, 2020 City Council Meeting in Lago Vista, Council approved through a unanimous vote to direct Mayor Ed Tidwell to begin the search for a new City Manager. This is in response to the resignation of the current Lago Vista City Manager, Josh Ray which was announced at the same meeting.
Mayor Tidwell is also directed to reach out to executive public sector recruiting consultants to assist the City in searching for and selecting an Interim City Manager and a permanent City Manager. Among the firms that will be approached is Chris Hartung Consulting out of Arlington, TX which conducted the search resulting in the hiring of current City Manager Josh Ray.
In the meantime, Mayor Ed Tidwell has initially reached out to Mr. Kenneth Renneau to gauge his interest in returning to the City of Lago Vista as Interim City Manager. Mr. Renneau acted as Interim City Manager after past City Manager, Melissa Byrne Vossmer resigned and before current City Manager, Josh Ray was hired.
