The Kyle City Council voted to extend the Kyle Cares Grant program, which was established to help residents pay their utility bills during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pandemic has caused the loss of millions of jobs around the country. For residents of Kyle that have lost their job or are experiencing financial hardship as a result of the pandemic, relief is available.

The Kyle Cares Grant program will provide relief to residents in the form of utility bill relief. The program will help residents that live within city limits. The program is in effect until Dec. 30. It was first passed in July of this year and has been extended several times.

To be eligible for relief, applicants must have an active utility account, live within city limits, be the primary account holder for the utility account, and have experienced financial hardship as a result of the pandemic.

More information about the program is available here.
