Learn what to expect during your childbirth and how you and your partner can get ready.
You should attend after your 28th week of pregnancy.
The following topics will be covered:
- Your pregnant body
- Stages of labor
- Support person's role
- Comforting and coping skills (breathing techniques, water therapy, movement in labor and birth ball)
- Medical intervention
- Cesarean section
- Your newborn
- Post partum
- Breastfeeding
- Cradle of Care
Please bring two pillows and be sure to dress comfortably. Healthy snacks will be available.
This is a 5 week series. Class meets each Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM in the Community Classroom.
This class is offered in Spanish by request.
Note: If you are delivering at Central Texas Medical Center, the fee for the class will be waived.
